AI Baseball Camera Pilot Tested at “Kyoritsu Maintenance Presents Women’s Baseball G-Town Cup”

“The AI Baseball Camera” fully automated baseball production system, which attracted major attention at the 19th U-15 Japan Baseball Championship—Giants Cup 2025 on Thursday, August 14, 2025, has now made its debut in women’s baseball!

At the “Kyoritsu Maintenance Presents Women’s Baseball G-Town Cup,” a tournament featuring top women’s teams and hosted by the Yomiuri Giants, Nippon TV produced fully automated video using the AI Baseball Camera and streamed it live on Giants TV.

About the AI Baseball Camera: Fully Automated Baseball Production System

This system leverages Nippon TV’s AI technology “viztrick AiDi,” to enable streamlined, fully-automated baseball content production—eliminating the need for manual operation. It manages everything from displaying graphics such as scores, player names, and radar gun speeds, to cutting and switching between multiple camera feeds, and even adjusting audio.

Enhancement of Audio Features

In this pilot test, in addition to strengthening video production capabilities from the previous trial, we introduced and tested the following new audio enhancement:

▶Addition and Automatic Adjustment of Commentary Audio
We added a feature that inserts commentary audio from the announcer’s booth and automatically adjusts its levels, bringing the quality closer to that of traditional baseball broadcasts.

With this enhancement, we successfully improved the viewing experience—not only visually, but also in terms of sound quality.

Broadcast Details

The AI Baseball Camera was in operation for three games held on Saturday, December 20, at Giants Town Stadium. The automatically produced footage was streamed live on GIANTS TV.

Both the live broadcasts and the on-demand replays were completed successfully.
